A Trip to Jerusalem Web quest

Created by Sigalit Arditi
In this WebQuest you will explore and learn more about Jerusalem.
Jerusalem has suffered in recent years from a lack of tourists due to the very complex political situation. Jerusalem is sacred to Judaism, Islam and Christianity ; therefore, finding sites of interest for a variety of religions and tastes should not be too difficult.
In this activity you will plan a trip to Jerusalem and produce a tourist brochure to attract tourists. Focus on the major tourist sites in the north, center and south of Jerusalem.
In this WebQuest you will be working together with a group of students in class. Imagine that you have to take a group of tourists on a tour of Jerusalem and decide where they will go and which sites they will see.
Plan a tour which will be fun and will include the north, center and south of Jerusalem. Cut on expenses whenever possible; avoid five-star hotels and expensive restaurants and design a brochure that will list and explain the places that you chose to visit as a group.
Use the links below to answer these basic questions:
Where will you go and what sites will you see?
What hotels or hostels will you stay at?
Where and what will you eat?
What clothes will you bring for that time of year?
How will you get around the country?

Israel is a fascinating country both in tradition and culture. By getting to know Israel better, we can learn to appreciate the remarkable opportunities that this country can offer and become more attached to it. Hopefully, this activity will encourage us to contribute to the domestic tourist industry as well as become better spokespeople for our country.
